The Department of Transport and Main Roads are conducting major works on the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap. As a result, there are changed traffic conditions for the duration of the program.

The Crest and West Gap Creek picnic area carparks:

• Parking and toilet facilities are available at both The Crest and West Gap Creek picnic area carparks.
• Please follow the signs for entry into The Crest carpark, noting you will need to do a U-turn through either the West Gap Creek picnic area when travelling west, or a safe U-turn location 3km east of The Crest carpark.
• Access to the Mount Mitchell walking track is via the Box Forest walking track, which can be accessed from either The Crest or West Gap Creek picnic area carparks.

Visitors are reminded that parking and walking along the Cunningham Highway is prohibited.
