This alert applies to the following park:

Planned works are scheduled for Wednesday 03 September (weather permitting) as part of the Wheel of Fire walking track reconstruction. The works will involve helicopter operations to lift and transport heavy material. Visitors are advised that access to Finch Hatton Gorge will be closed for visitor safety on the day.

For safety, all visitor sites at Finch Hatton Gorge will be closed from 1300 hrs, Tuesday 02 September until 0800 hrs, Thursday 04 September:

  • Finch Hatton Gorge carpark
  • Finch Hatton Gorge day-use area and toilet facilities
  • Araluen Cascades walking track and Araluen Cascades
  • Callistemon Crossing walking track and Callistemon Crossing
  • Wheel of Fire walking track and the Wheel of Fire.

For your safety, obey all on-site closure signs and directions from Rangers and do not enter the closed area.
