This alert applies to the following park:
- Girramay National ParkTropical North Queensland
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting burning operations within Girramay National Park until mid October 2025.
Subject to favourable weather, burning will occur around Murray Falls, Jumbun and Winter Falls.
Some burns will target ridges and hilltops with smoke visible on the upper ranges around Bilyana track area.
Burning is expected to cease in late October 2025.
All facilities including Murray Falls camping area remain open, however smoke may be seen in the vicinity.
