This alert applies to the following parks:

- Eungella National ParkMackay Isaac
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are implementing Local Fire Restrictions due to increasing dry weather conditions and associated impacts.
The Local Fire Restriction applies from today, Thursday 2 October 2025 until Tuesday 7 October 2025.
The following are not permitted:

Open campfires and fires in braziers, drums and other open containers

Appliances using wood, timber or solid manufactured fuels (e.g. Oz-pigs, kettle barbeques and similar appliances)

Use of QPWS-supplied fire-rings.
Gas and electric barbecues including gas and spirit stoves, are permitted to be used if they:

Do not have the potential to generate airborne embers or ignite nearby ground fuels

Are not left unattended
-
Are suitably contained.
For your safety please obey all fire restrictions. Failure to adhere by restrictions will result in Penalty Infringement Notice being issued.
Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
