Oyala Thumotang National Park (CYPAL) has partially reopened from the wet season. Please see the update below for the latest information on camping area reopening dates.
The following camping areas are open:
Langi section:
- Jerry Lagoon
- Twin Lagoons 1
- Twin Lagoons 2
- 10 Mile Junction
Coen River section:
- Mango Lagoon 1
- Mango Lagoon 2
- Mango Lagoon 3
- First Coen River
Due to impacts of the extended wet season, the following camping areas remain closed and are now anticipated to reopen 1 October 2026, subject to road and weather conditions:
Langi section:
- Old Archer Crossing
Coen River section:
- Chong Swamp
- Second Coen River
- Vardons Lagoon
Archer Bend section:
- Governors Waterhole
- Horsetailer Waterhole
Campers with an existing booking between 1 August and 30 September 2026 (dates inclusive), please cancel and request a refund online.
