Entire park closure due to vandalism

Broadwater camping and day-use area is currently closed due significant vandalism in July 2026.  

This closure includes: 

  • Broadwater day-use area
  • Fig Tree boardwalk
  • Rainforest walk
  • Broadwater camping area.

Construction repair works

Following significant flooding during the February 2025 weather event, structural damage was sustained to the Canoe Creek bridge on Broadwater Park Road resulting in a closure of the bridge.

Scheduled construction to repair the bridge is due to commence in mid-July 2026.   

Walk-in access to Broadwater day-use area had been reinstated, but following significant vandalism in July 2026, walk-in access to the day use area is no longer available.

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are striving to re-open all Broadwater facilities to full capacity as soon as possible.

Please monitor this park alert for current information on the reinstatement of Broadwater vehicle access and camping facilities.
