South Molle Island jetty closed due to cyclone damage

Please be advised that the privately owned jetty located at Bauer Bay, South Molle Island, is closed to the public due to damage caused by Cyclone Koji. The jetty owner has advised QPWS that risk and damage assessments are underway and an estimated reopening date will be advised once repair timeframes are known.
In the interim, access to the national park from Bauer Bay is via beach landing only and is tide dependant.
Other access points on the island, including Sandy and Paddle Bay remain unchanged.
All visitors may continue to use the designated access path from Bauer Bay beach to access the national park recreational trails.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers or resort personnel and do not enter closed areas.
