This alert applies to the following park:

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) have temporarily closed access to the Gaguwan walking track in Naree Budjong Djara National Park to manage the impact of Phytophthora plant disease in vegetation along the track.

All visitors are advised that access to the Gaguwan walking track is temporarily closed, from the Tripod Track Lookout and from the Old Yarraman Mine Road.

Phytophthora is a plant disease that has caused dieback in vegetation along sections of this track.  To prevent this soil-borne disease from spreading further throughout the Naree Budjong Djara National Park, the track will not be able to be accessed until further notice.

Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.

Please visit this park's page on the department's website for more park safety information.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
