The Bartle Frere trail access road at the western trailhead has been impacted by rain events and is currently closed to all traffic until Monday 28 September 2026 (date inclusive).
Heavy machinery will be operating along the access road to conduct repair works. For your safety, please obey signage and barriers and do not enter closed areas.
During this period, visitors can still access the Bartle Frere western trailhead by parking at Windin Falls carpark off Gourka Road and walking in from this location.
