Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a pest management control program at Currawinya & Lake Bindegolly National Parks from 14/09/2026 to 18/09/2026 (weather permitting) as part of the conservation management program for the park.
All control activities are conducted in accordance with the Currawinya and Lake Bindegolly National Parks pest management plans and help to protect native plants and wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced plants and animals.
As a result, the following areas are temporarily closed for the duration of the pest management program:
- All Camping Areas.
- All Visitor Day Use Areas.
- All Vehicle and Walking Tracks.
The Hungerford- Eulo Road will remain open to traffic.
All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure.
Refunds can be applied for via your online account at qld.gov.au/camping.
