Halifax Bay Wetlands National Park will be closed on Thursday 17 September and Friday 18 September 2026 (weather permitting) for aerial pest management activities.

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is leading these activities and targeting feral pigs within the national park and surrounding areas. For further information please visit the Hinchinbrook Shire Council website.

These operations help to conserve the natural and cultural values of the park.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from council and do not enter closed areas.
