Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a livestock muster (cattle) across Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park (CYPAL) between Thursday 3 September and Wednesday 30 September 2026.
During this period the park will remain open to all visitors. All camping nodes, day use areas and facilities will remain open.
Visitors are asked to please keep an eye out for mustering persons and equipment, especially vehicles on roads and tracks. Visitors are also asked to please not interfere with any livestock that they may see and to obey any directions given to them by QPWS Rangers.
Dust and visibility may be hampered by excess traffic, so please slow down and drive to conditions.
