Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting an ongoing pest management control program at Mt Archer State Forest between 28th of August 2026 to 11th of December 2026 (weather permitting) as part of the conservation management program for the park.

The Mt Archer State Forest & Mt Archer National Park may be closed for short durations over this period, so please monitor park alerts just before to your visit, as the state forest may be closed at short notice.

All control activities are conducted in accordance with the pest management plan and help to protect native plants and wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced plants and animals.

Firearms and traps may be in use. Please observe all signage, barriers and direction from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
