Works will be occurring at Nina Bay camping area from 23 September-1 October, and there may also be some trail works occurring in the Nina Bay area during this time. Other minor works may occur at other locations on the Thorsborne Trail/Hinchinbrook Island during this time.

The camping areas will remain open throughout for Thorsborne Trail hikers, however some of the individual camp nodes may be closed.

Construction noise, including chainsaws and small machinery, may be expected during the day. Works will be carried out during the day to minimise disturbance to campers. Due to the confined space of Nina Bay camping area, the visitor experience will likely be impacted by the works – hikers may wish to camp elsewhere if they were planning on camping at Nina Bay. Rangers will be onsite to provide advice on the impacts that may be expected each day.
