This alert applies to the following park:

Due to the current bushfire, Barakula State Forest is closed including the Dogwood Creek camping area. Bushfire response activities are in progress and QPWS Rangers will continue to manage the situation.

All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure.

Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.

Refunds can be applied for via your online account at qld.gov.au/camping.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
