Livestock mustering (cattle) operations will be occurring in the vicinity of the Wet Tropics Great Walk, between Henrietta gate pick-up point and Henrietta Creek, Girringun National Park from Saturday 12 September to Thursday 12 November 2026.
Mustering is occurring to remove stray cattle from the national park. These operations help us to conserve the natural and cultural values of the park. Authorised helicopters, mustering dogs, side by sides and motorbikes may be seen in the area during this time.
These operations are not anticipated to interfere with visitors undertaking this section of the Wet Tropics Great Walk, however if you require further information, please contact the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Ingham office on 07 4777 2822.
