Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a planned maintenance program at the Mon Repos Turtle Centre from 9 September to 30 November 2026. The Centre will continue to be open for normal operations during this period.

The Mon Repos Turtle Centre (MRTC) will be fully scaffolded and fenced, for the duration of the roof upgrade program. The MRTC will have changed conditions, including:

• MRTC outdoor seating area on eastern side of the building will be closed. Picnic tables near the southern boardwalk will be available for use.
• Entry and exit points to the MRTC may on occassion be altered, with all changes signed to ensure visitors have up to date information.
• Contractors advise that noise disturbance should be minimal during the duration of works.
