This alert applies to the following park:

QPWS rangers and contractors will be conducting a feral animal control program from 31 October 2026 through to 28 November 2026 within the Teewah Beach and Freshwater camping areas. Firearms, poisons or traps may be in use.

During this time, the Eastern and Western Firebreaks, including Pettigrews and Kings Bore Roads, will be closed for the duration of the program.

For visitor safety, Teewah Beach and Freshwater camp sites will be temporarily closed from Monday 2nd November to Wednesday 4th November (Inclusive) for the pest control program.

For visitors with camping permits for closed sites, you will need to modify or cancel your booking and apply for a refund via your online account at www.qld.gov.au/camping

Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
