QPWS will be conducting a pest management control program at Mt Ngungun, with a park closure from 23rd September 5:30pm - 24th September 9:30am

Pest control activities are conducted in accordance with the Glass House Mountains Pest Management Plan and will help to protect native plants and wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced plants and animals. 

For public safety the entire Mt Ngungun section of the Glass House Mountains National Park will be temporary closed to the public from 5:30 PM Wednesday the 23rd of September until 9:00AM Thursday the 24th of September.

This closure includes:

• Mt Ngungun day use area and trailhead and
• All walking tracks, fire breaks and climbing sections within the park

Comercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.

 

Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.

Facilities will reopen when the event is completed.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
