The Queensland Fire Department will be conducting a swiftwater rescue training exercise within Mossman Gorge, Daintree National Park (CYPAL), on Saturday 3 October 2026, between approximately 8am and 12pm.
Visitors may observe emergency services personnel undertaking training activities in and around the beach area during this period.
Mossman Gorge facilities will remain open during this period however access to the designated training area may be temporarily restricted while activities are underway.
For public safety, visitors are requested to remain clear of the designated training area and obey any signage, barriers and directions provided by emergency services personnel or Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service staff.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while emergency services personnel undertake this important training.
