This alert applies to the following park:
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting planned burn operations (weather permitting) on Thursday 8 October 2026, within Bare Hill Conservation Park and Dinden National Park.
As a result, visitors may encounter fire operations vehicles and personnel on roads in the area. Smoke may be visible in the area, including around Davies Creek Falls and Clohesy River Fig Tree, and may also impact driving conditions.
Persons with respiratory or other health problems should seek medical advice on mitigating the effects of smoke inhalation and keep medications close by if suffering from a respiratory illness.
Planned burns are vital in promoting ecological health and biodiversity as well as help to reduce the risk and intensity of bushfires.
Public safety is the highest consideration in all QPWS fire management activities. To find out more visit the Fire management webpage.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
