This alert applies to the following parks:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be undertaking a feral pig control program on the Mt Archer National Park and State Forest to assist with the protection of native wildlife on the park. This is part of an ongoing, integrated strategy to reduce feral pig numbers.

This feral pig control method has been chosen for its safety in relation to native flora and fauna and other non-target species and to minimise the risk to straying domestic animals.

All control activities are conducted in accordance with the pest management plan and help to protect native plants and wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced plants and animals.

Firearms and traps may be in use.

Stay up to date with weather forecasts, conditions and warnings.

Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
