This alert applies to the following parks:

A neighbouring property of Wairuna section, Girringun National Park, Girringun Conservation Park and Girringun Resources Reserve, will be conducting mustering operations on Wednesday 28 October 2026.

Wairuna camping area in Girringun National Park will be closed from Tuesday 27 October to Thursday 29 October 2026 (dates inclusive) to allow these operations to occur safely. 

Authorised helicopters, muster dogs, horses, side-by-sides and motorbikes will be working in the area during this time.

Mustering is occurring to remove stray cattle from the camping area and surrounds surrounding parks. These operations help us to conserve the natural and cultural values of the parks.

For your safety, please stay away from cattle and mustering operations and exercise caution along roads and tracks.
