Camping in Bladensburg
Stay awhile on the banks of Surprise Creek and enjoy abundant birdlife at the shady Bough Shed Waterhole camping area.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.
Park-specific conditions
Be alert and prepared for changes in weather. Even small amounts of rain on the park or in surrounding areas can cause floods at any time of year. If heavy rain or minor flooding occurs, move to higher ground.
- Camp only in the existing camping area.
- The collection of firewood and the use of chainsaws is prohibited in the national park.
- Campfires are permitted in fire rings only, except when fire prohibitions or bans are in place.
- The use of drones is not permitted in the camping area, refer to Drone safety and regulation.
Ensure you have read before you visit and staying safe.
