Location: at the top of the range along Bulburin Forest Road—16km from Builyan and 33km from the Bruce Highway via the Granite Creek access.

Access: the road is unsealed and accessible by high clearance four-wheel drive vehicles in dry weather only. It is accessible for vehicles towing off-road trailers and camper trailers. The road is not accessible for two-wheel drive vehicles, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Read more about getting there and getting around.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 5 people per camp.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your vehicle and off-road camper trailers.

Camp site surface: dirt/grass.

Facilities: none, visitors must be self-sufficient and prepared for emergencies.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply). Bring your own clean, milled timber for firewood. Keep a cleared area free of grass and vegetation of at least 2m around your campfire and do not place inflammable materials and rubbish in the campfire. Fuel stoves are recommended to minimise impacts.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, remote-area first-aid kit, reliable torch, and communications equipment. Read more about before you visit.

Mobile phone coverage: poor; satellite phones, UHF radios and a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) recommended.
