After a bite to eat at Hoppy Lark’s day-use area, grab your kids and their fishing gear and head through the shaded forest on this wheelchair- and pram-friendly track. Keep an eye out for Goodwood gums—they’re only found here. Their smooth, mottled-grey bark makes them easy to spot among the other trees.
Wrens, woodswallows and fairy-wrens will lead the way to a viewing area over the picturesque Gregory River. Here’s where you have the best chance of catching a mangrove jack for dinner … and seeing the river’s waterbirds feeding in the shallows.
