Bush camping: bush camping is permitted in Cordalba State Forest.

For your safety: consult rangers about your proposed trip and get a good understanding of park conditions or special operations such as planned burns and logging operations. The park ranger may be able to suggest areas that will best match the type of bush camping experience you are looking for. Use the enquiry form to contact the department.

Please note: Bushwalkers should leave their walking itineraries and each day’s walking plans with a friend or family member. Include details of whereabouts, when you expect to return and what they should do if you don’t return on time. Make sure you let them know if your plans change.

Access: walk in, no defined areas.

Number of sites: maximum of 3 groups and 18 people in total (6 people per group).

Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping only.

Camp site surface: natural ground surface.

Facilities: campers need to be fully self-sufficient as no facilities are provided.

Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are essential.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, sunscreen. Read before you visit.

Mobile phone coverage: poor, generally not available.
