Mulgrave River (Goldfield trail) camping area is located beside the Mulgrave River top causeway, half way along the Goldfield trail.

Always check

Camp about halfway along the Goldfield trail at the Mulgrave River top causeway. The camping area is at the end of the old logging road, alongside the Mulgrave River.

Camping is also permitted at the north-west end of the trail, at the Goldsborough Valley camping area.

Only experienced and well-equipped bushwalkers should do overnight hikes in this area. A camping permit must be obtained in advance and camping fees apply.

Location: at the causeway at the end of the old logging road, 8km from the north-west end (Goldsborough Valley camping area), or 11km from the south-east end (Boulders Scenic Reserve).

Access: the camping area can be reached on foot from either end of the trail or by mountain bike from the north-west end (Goldsborough Valley camping area).

Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping, bike-in camping.

Facilities: wheelchair-accessible toilet (non-flush).

Open fires: not allowed. Fuel stoves are permitted.

Generators: not permitted.
