South Johnstone camping area is 12.8km from the Palmerston Highway down K-tree Road (accessible by high clearance 4WD vehicles only but may be closed after very heavy rain—check for park alerts).

Location: just off K-tree Road (accessible by high clearance 4WD vehicles only), 12.8km from the Palmerston Highway.

Access: the camping area can be reached by foot and by high clearance 4WD vehicles only. It is not accessible for caravans, campervans or motorhomes.
