Camping area features: a peaceful setting on the upper banks of the Burdekin River with pedestrian access to the river.
Location: Turnoffthe Gregory Developmental Road and travel 3km along the unsealed (dirt) Leichhart Road to the national park entrance. The camping area is located 700 metres from the entrance.

Access: 4WD vehicles recommended. The unsealed (dirt) entrance road becomes rough and boggy with minor rainfall. Proceed with caution in times of wet weather, especially if towing a trailer/caravan.
Number of sites: 4 separate numbered sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: Tent/roof top tent camping; off-road campervans; off-road camper trailers, and off-road caravans. Refer to camp site summary table below:

Camp site surface: dirt.
Facilities: none. Toilets and showers are available at Fletcher Creek camping reserve (managed by Charters Towers Regional Council).
Open fires: Camp fires are only permitted in the steel fire rings (fireplace) provided, except when QFD fire ban and restrictions or QPWS-imposed fire prohibitions are in place. Bring your own clean firewood such as untreated, mill off-cuts—collecting firewood from the national park is prohibited.
Generators: allowed, between the hours of 9am and 12pm (midday) and must operate at a noise level of less than 65dB(A) at a distance of 7 metres.
