Located along the Little River, Mima Teti camping area has 5 separate, partially shaded camp sites available to the public and 1 commercial tour operator site.

Camping area features: individual camp sites along the bank of the Little River.

Location: Mima Teti camping area is located approximately 13.2km from the Gulf Developmental Road.

Access: the camping area can be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicle only. The sites are suitable for off-road camper trailers and off-road caravans. It is not accessible for conventional road caravans, motorhomes or buses. You can check into your camp site after 2pm and check out by 11am.

Number of sites: 5 individual camp sites available to the public, each with a capacity of 6 people per site. There is 1 camp site for commercial tour operators with a capacity of 25 people.

Camp sites are suitable for: tents or off-road camper trailers and off-road caravans. Each camp site has a 12m frontage with a pull-in bay parallel to the road that can accommodate 1 four-wheel-drive vehicle and a 6m trailer.

Camp site surface: gravel.

Shade: partial shade with afternoon sun.

Facilities: non-flushing toilet, picnic tables at each camp site, shower room (BYO shower and water).

Open fires: prohibited.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, gas or fuel stove, rubbish bags and insect repellent. For more information read before you visit.

Getting there and getting around

Mima Teti camping area is approximately 13.2km from the Gulf Developmental Road turnoff.

  • From the Gulf Developmental Road turn onto Littleton Road.
  • Follow Littleton Road for 5km and turn left at the signed road to Mima Teti camping area. Follow this road for a further 8.2km to Mima Teti camping area.

Wheelchair access

The toilets and shower cubicle (BYO shower) at Mima Teti camping area are the only wheelchair-accessible (with assistance) features in Tagalaka National Park.

Opening hours

Tagalaka National Park is open 24 hours per day, however it is closed throughout the wet season every year between 1 October and 31 March.
